The Bair Hugger from February 27 came back to the shop with the same issue. The unit was alarming and showing FC008. On February 27, I replaced the circuit board and the problem seemed to be fixed. I tested the J4 connector again and still found no indication that it was the heater coil. Since I had just replaced the circuit board, I decided to replace the heater coil with one that was on hand in the shop. After replacing the heater coil, I powered up the unit and it displayed FC008. I then called the manufacturer, as this product was still under contract. They had no other solutions and said they would ship out a replacement and requested that unit be returned for additional diagnostic testing.
