Storz AIDA DVD-M Image Managememt System
I installed the Storz aida DVD-M Image Managememt System that was returned from the manufacturer. It was sent out for repair and the facility had been using a loaner. I disconnected the loaner and connected the other. We perfromed an electrical safety on the aida and everything was within the correct limitations. Once the machine was connected and turned on I reset all the configurations to the ones used at the facility. Upon returning to the shop I called technical support and they walked me through the steps to restore the loaner machine so that the patient records would be wiped out before it was returned.

Bair Hugger Model 750
I did 3 PMs on the Biar Hugger 750. Filters were replaced, hoses checked and replaced as needed, electrical safety was completed, temperature checked/calibrated and the over temp alarms were checked in all 3 of the devices. The temperature was tested with the air pad simulator shown below.

Laproscopic Gallbladder Removal
I got to sit in on a laproscopic gallbladder removal today. I was able to see some of equipment that I have worked on in use including a Bair Hugger 750 and the Storz aida DVD-M. It was very interesting to see the other pieces of equipment in operation as well.
*The image is not from the procedure. It was found on Google. |
Centrifuges
We completed the 3 month PMs on the 4 models of centrifuges in the lab. On the 3 month PMs you check the display operation, lid interlock operation, rotor assembly, buckets or tube holders, time and RPM of the centrifuge. Checked all the visual items and tested each centrifuge with a stopwatch and a tachometer to verify that they all were meeting the time and RPM criteria.
Leica OH3
I replaced a faulty power cord on this microscope and conducted an electrical safety test. The leakage current and ground resistance of the Leica OH3 was within the required range for each. I also cleaned the optics.
