Hospira Symbiq Infusion Pump
Today I had the opportunity to do more testing on some of the Symbiq infuison pumps. Today I learned how to recondition the batteries and reset the channels on the pumps. There was a corrective work order on one of the pumps that stated that channel A on the pump was not working. We turned the pump on and put an infusion cassette in the channel A side. The pump automatically closed after 6 seconds, as expected. We did that a couple more times to verify that the door was operational and each time it worked properly. We went ahead and reset the channel to ensure that the problem was not ongoing and also completed a volume test. After these steps were completed we returned the pump to service.
Karl Storz Endoskope Hopkins II
These endoscopes had been sent out for repair. I got to participate in the acceptance process of the return shipment. We completed a physical inspection on the scopes and then used the picture to the right to ensure that the scopes produced crisp clean images. The scopes were accepted and returned to service.
