I used a phantom to test the transducer of this Philips HD7. It was reported that the transvaginal transducer was displaying double images. When we tested the transducer there were no indications of double images. The transducer was returned to service.

Data Scope CS 100 Intelligent Counterpulsation
This unit is an intra-aortic balloon pump. I installed a PM kit on this unit and replaced the safety disk. The safety disk is supposed to be replaced every 2 years or 1000 hours and PM kits are to be installed every 2500 hours. The PM kit consists of 2 Pump diaphragms, a muffler, a filter element, 2 gaskets, a filter tubing assembly and a grommet. The CS 100 also has several built in tests that it performs including: pneumatic system test, display test, keypad/switch test, motor calibration/test and several others.

Hospira Symbiq
Today I learned a little about Symbiq infusion pumps. This pump is considered a smart pump because has a stored drug library with set parameters for each drug and safe guards against free flow of medication. Today I tested the cassette alarm and the air in line alarm. I also updated the drug library on one of the pumps. During testing I used the IPT-MC infusion pump tester. |
Echocardiogram
I ended my day by sitting in and watching an echocardiogram. Caitlin, the tech who performed the echo, showed me various views of the heart on the monitor. She was able to get a good view of the aortic arch. Some of the other views were difficult to see because of the patients medical history.
